The Parents Circle–Families Forum is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization made up of bereaved families who have lost immediate family members to the conflict. Their work begins from a place of profound pain, but refuses to let grief become a reason for more violence.
In the broader civil society ecosystem, PCFF holds a rare moral space. Its members speak from personal loss to prevent further bereavement, promote dialogue, and insist that reconciliation is not abstract. It is a human process that begins with recognizing the pain and humanity of the other.
Their Role in Civil Society
PCFF plays the role of moral witness and reconciliation-builder. By bringing bereaved Israelis and Palestinians together in education, public meetings, media work, and dialogue, the organization challenges the belief that loss must lead to revenge. Its members show that even after devastating personal grief, people can choose recognition, responsibility, and the prevention of further suffering.
Mission
The Parents Circle–Families Forum is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 800 families, all of whom have lost an immediate family member to the ongoing conflict. PCFF believes that reconciliation between nations is a prerequisite for sustainable peace. Through education, public meetings, and media work, the organization seeks to prevent further bereavement and promote dialogue, tolerance, reconciliation, and peace.
