Women of the Sun is a Palestinian grassroots organization dedicated to gender equality and the political and economic empowerment of Palestinian women.
Working across the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the diaspora, Women of the Sun develops a close understanding of the needs and challenges faced by Palestinian women. Their work supports women’s leadership, access to education, economic participation, trauma healing, and peacebuilding.

Women of the Sun plays an important role in Palestinian civil society by strengthening women’s agency, leadership, and participation in shaping their communities’ futures.
Through grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy, the organization works with women across different social and economic backgrounds. It supports educated women in developing leadership capacity and preparing for political influence, while also reaching women more broadly with knowledge about their rights to political engagement and economic participation.
